The Program

Brazil Machiney Solutions

Result of a partnership between the Brazilian Machinery Builders´ Association (ABIMAQ) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), Brazil Machinery Solutions Program focuses on the promotion of Brazilian exports of machinery and equipment, as well as the strengthening of Brazil’s image as a manufacturer of mechanical capital goods. Focusing on the markets of South Africa, Angola, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, United States, India and Russia, and Central America, the Program performs various actions aimed at bringing Brazilian business community to such markets with the purpose of showing them the quality and the differentials of machinery and equipment from Brazil. They do not only draw attention for their quality, but also for their inventivity, that is, they meet the actual demands of customers, adapting to the needs and peculiarities of each one.

The Machinery Builders´ Association (ABIMAQ) represents approximately 7,800 companies from the most diverse segments of mechanical capital goods manufacturers, whose performance has a direct impact on other national sectors and is nationally structured with headquarters in São Paulo, nine regional offices and a political office in Brasilia. Beyond the institutional representation of the sector, ABIMAQ has a professional management and its activities are aimed at generating business opportunities for its members, performing actions with political and economic authorities, stimulating trade and international cooperation and contributing to improve their performance in terms of technology, training of human resources and management modernization. The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad, and to attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy. Apex-Brasil organizes several initiatives aiming to promote Brazilian exports abroad. The Agency´s efforts comprise trade and prospective missions, business rounds, support for the participation of Brazilian companies in major international trade fairs, arrangement of technical visits of foreign buyers and opinion makers to learn about the Brazilian productive structure, and other select activities designed to strengthen the country’s branding abroad. Apex-Brasil also plays a leading role in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Brazil, by working to identify business opportunities, promoting strategic events and lending support to foreign investors willing to allocate resources in Brazil. DESIGN EXPORT

Program that supports Brazilian companies in the development of innovative solutions and good design towards export. The actuation of Design Export occurs through consultancies and qualification to the companies, guiding them in the identification of innovation opportunities and in the selection of design offices more suitable to each profile. The program is directed to the sectoral associations currently supported by Apex-Brazil, focused on those that are already committed to projects towards the export, such as ABIMAQ.

INTERNATIONAL FAIR

International Fairs represents the majority of the actions that are part of the Brazil Machinery Solutions calendar. The BMS Program is responsible for the area and assemblage of Brazil Pavilion in international events. The fair needs a minimum number of exhibiting companies so its confirmed in schedule. All supported fairs count with the presence of an specialized consultant that accompanies the Brazilian group, bringing tranquility and efficiency to the participating companies.

INTER-COM

Internationalization and Competitiveness Program (INTER-COM): developed by Apex-Brazil, it is an strategic orientation Program, exclusively directed to the preparation to internationalization. With the support of Fundação Dom Cabral, the Program counts on classes, business simulations, corporate testimonies, management, stakeholders, and assistance on the variables that impact the companies’ internationalization process. More than 300 executives of around 200 companies already carried out the Program, which started in 2011.

BUSINESS MISSIONS

Visits of Brazilian sectors entrepreneurs to BMS target market countries. The missions goals are to prospect new markets, to promote business, partnerships, to disseminate Brazilian machinery and equipment sector and to exchange technologies.

PEIEX

It is an initiative of Apex-Brazil, in partnership with research institutions, educational institutions, technology institutions and consultancies. The Program offers a series of steps to qualify the companies for the global market. It involves professionals specialized in the areas of strategic administration, sales and marketing, foreign trade, human capital, finances. The Program focus at promoting the exporting culture in small and medium companies, so that they are prepared to start to export. Through operational centers, installed in the whole country, technicians offer: diagnostics and incentives to improve quality and innovation, structuring management and productive processes and other requirements that prepare the companies to the export challenges.

BUYER´S PROJECT

Also called International Business Meeting, the Buyer´s Project aims at promoting business between Brazilian companies, manufacturers of machinery and equipment, and foreign purchasers (vendors, representatives, importers). Most of times, such action happens concurrently to the main business fairs in Brazil, which enhances the opportunities for commercial contacts and business generation.

MAGE PROJECT

This action has as focus the strengthening of the image of Brazil as a country manufacturer of capital goods. Thus, it promotes the visit of opinion makers (reporters and specialists) to Brazil to learn and promote Brazilian sectors in their countries.

WEB CATALOG

Portal developed by the Program with the purpose of presenting and disclosing Brazilian machinery and equipment to the international market. It is a full portfolio, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, dedicated to the global market, via internet.
